These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The Fabric Lot website and store at thefabriclot.com and any purchase you make from The Fabric Lot ("we," "us," or "our"). By browsing or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Products and by-the-yard sales

We sell fabric and related goods primarily by the yard and by listed options (color, weight, width, construction). Product photos, descriptions, and specifications are provided in good faith. Screens, lighting, and photography can affect how color appears. For color-sensitive projects, order a swatch of the exact option before purchasing yardage.

Availability, continuous length, and exact shade can change. Selecting an option at checkout reflects current availability for that option.

Orders, pricing, and payment

Prices are shown in USD unless otherwise stated. By placing an order you offer to purchase the items selected. We may refuse or cancel an order for pricing error, suspected fraud, inventory limits, or other legitimate reasons and will notify you if we do. Payment is processed through Shopify and its payment providers.

Shipping and local pickup

Shipping, free-shipping thresholds, international options, processing times, and local pickup by arrangement are described in our Shipping policy and Pickup page. You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery or pickup contact. Risk of loss for shipped goods passes according to carrier and applicable law after we hand the package to the carrier.

Returns and cut fabric

Returns, exchanges, and refunds are governed by our Refund policy. Fabric, including yardage cut to your order, can be returned within 14 days of delivery if it is unused, unwashed, not cut further, and in its original condition. Custom or special orders, sale items, and gift cards are not returnable for a change of mind. Contact us before returning anything; unapproved returns are not accepted.

Accounts and acceptable use

If you create an account, keep your credentials confidential. You may not misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, scrape content in a way that harms the Services, or use the Services for unlawful purposes.

Intellectual property

Site content, branding, product photography, and copy belonging to The Fabric Lot remain our property or that of our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them commercially without permission, except as needed to place and receive your own orders.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Services and products are provided on an "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by California and applicable U.S. law, we disclaim warranties not expressly stated in these Terms or required by law. Our total liability arising from any order or use of the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the products giving rise to the claim, except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.

Privacy

How we collect and use personal information is described in our Privacy policy. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy policy regarding personal information, the Privacy policy controls for that subject.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence apply. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
